Security Best Practices

1

Use a Password Manager

Password managers like 1Password, LastPass, or Bitwarden can:
  • Generate strong, unique passwords
  • Store passwords securely
  • Auto-fill login forms
  • Sync across devices
2

Create a Passphrase

Instead of a complex password, use a passphrase:Good: Coffee-Morning-Blue-2024! Better: I-Drink-3-Cups-Daily!
  • Longer than 12 characters
  • Easy to remember
  • Hard to guess
  • Includes numbers and symbols
3

Avoid Common Mistakes

Don’t use:
  • Personal information (birthday, name, pet names)
  • Dictionary words
  • Sequential numbers (123456)
  • Keyboard patterns (qwerty)
  • Same password as other sites
4

Enable Two-Factor Authentication
